How to make a product demo video
Give Demo Agent your product URL. It explores the product, builds the scenes and narration, and generates your video. This guide walks through the choices you make, from the first URL to the finished download.

Create your first Demo Agent video
- What you'll make
- A narrated product video
- Video length
- Quick, Standard or Detailed
- Audience setting
- General video or Named prospect
Before you start
- A product URL for the agent to explore
- A language and audience for the video
- Any additional product pages to include
- Access to the app if the feature needs a login
In the studio
Start with a URL
Enter your product URL, choose the language and set up the audience.
Choose pages and access
Add relevant pages from the same product domain. Use Logged in and a feature URL for a workflow inside an account.
Give the agent direction
Keep Have the agent learn selected or choose Give it a prompt. Select the length, then let the agent explore.
Choose a voice and review the notes
Listen to voice samples, then review the screenshots and suggested narration together. Edit the words in place.
Generate and download
Generate the preview. Use Edit script for wording changes, or Download video when you are ready to keep it.
Ready when The preview explains your product clearly in the voice and language you chose.
Start with the product you want the agent to explore
Enter your product URL in the create box on the homepage and click Create a demo. The URL carries into the studio, where you choose the language for the video. You can also open the studio directly and enter the URL there.
Use a public product page for an overview or the app's URL for a workflow inside your software. If the part you want to show needs a login, you will supply its exact feature URL at the access step.
Choose English, French, Spanish, German, Danish or Arabic. This sets the language for the show notes, narration and captions, and determines which voices you can choose after exploration.
Choose who the video is for
On Who is this video for?, enter your company name. You can leave it blank for the agent to infer from the product site. Keep General video selected for a product overview, onboarding walkthrough or release announcement.
Choose Named prospect when the video should open with a personal introduction. Enter the prospect's name and company, then continue. The personalised sales video guide covers that flow in more detail.
Give the agent the right pages and access
Any other pages to include? lets you add up to three extra URLs on the same product domain. For an overview, these might be your product, how-it-works and pricing pages. For a release video, include the page that explains the new feature. The agent can use those pages while building one story.
Choose Logged out to explore public pages. For an app workflow, choose Logged in and enter the feature URL. Sign in through the hosted browser, then hand control back. Demo Agent returns to that feature to begin the walkthrough.
That feature URL gives the agent a useful starting point. If you want a reports demo, take it to reports. If you want to show a new onboarding flow, start where that flow begins.
Let the agent learn, or give it a goal
Have the agent learn is the default. Use it when you want Demo Agent to explore the product and find a coherent story. You provide the starting pages and audience; the agent decides which parts to show.
Choose Give it a prompt when you already know the feature, audience or outcome the video should focus on. Describe the story you want in plain language. The agent handles navigation and scene planning from that brief.
Choose the video length on the same screen. Quick is 30 to 45 seconds, Standard is 60 to 90 seconds, and Detailed allows up to three minutes. Standard is selected by default. Use Quick for a concise introduction, Standard for a focused overview and Detailed when the story needs more explanation.
Example: make a Demo Agent overview
To introduce Demo Agent itself, use these inputs:
- Product URL
- https://getdemoagent.com
- Language and audience
- English, your company name, General video.
- Additional pages
- https://getdemoagent.com/how-it-works and https://getdemoagent.com/pricing
- Access and length
- Logged out, Standard.
Keep Have the agent learn selected for an overview it develops itself. For a particular angle, choose Give it a prompt and enter a brief like this:
Introduce Demo Agent to a sales leader who wants personalised product videos for their team. Explain how a product URL becomes a narrated video, how the user reviews the scenes and words, and how a named prospect changes the introduction. Finish with the next step to create a first video.
This describes the audience and the story. You can then assess the scenes and narration that Demo Agent prepares before generating the video.
Review what the agent prepares
The exploration screen shows the agent working through the product. When exploration finishes, click Choose a voice. Listen to the samples for your selected language and choose the delivery you prefer.
Click Review show notes to see the planned video. Each row pairs a captured screenshot on the left with suggested narration on the right. Read the words while looking at the corresponding screen. You can edit the narration directly before generating.
Check whether the opening introduces the right task, the scenes explain the product clearly and the ending gives the viewer a useful next step. If you want a different product story, go back and change the brief. If the story is right and a sentence needs work, edit the words in the show notes.
Generate, refine and download
Click Generate video when the show notes are ready. Demo Agent brings the recording, narration and captions together, then opens the watermarked preview.
Use Edit script to return to the show notes. Narration revisions keep the recording and update the affected speech and captions. Each video includes three narration revisions. A different URL, language or brief starts a new set of show notes and footage.
Click Download video when you are ready to keep the result. For a new customer, this opens the plan and checkout flow. Starter includes 720p downloads; Growth and Team include 1080p output. Your videos are available from the dashboard afterwards. See pricing for current allowances.
Refining your video
- Start on a specific feature
- Choose Logged in and enter the exact feature URL at the feature step. Sign in, then hand control back so exploration starts at that feature.
- Focus the product story
- Choose Give it a prompt and name one audience, one feature and the outcome to explain. Use the additional-page fields to point the agent at relevant product pages.
- Refine the narration
- Edit the suggested words in the show notes. After a preview has been generated, Edit script returns you to those same scenes.
- Create another language version
- Start a version with the new language selected before exploration. Review its show notes and choose a voice for that language.
Common questions
Do I need to record the walkthrough myself?
Demo Agent explores and records the product. You provide the starting URL, access and direction, then review the scenes and narration it prepares.
Do I need to write a script first?
No. Have the agent learn lets Demo Agent develop the story. Give it a prompt lets you supply a specific goal. Both lead to editable show notes.
When do I choose the voice?
After exploration. Click Choose a voice, listen to the samples, select a voice and then open Review show notes.
Can I change the words after generating?
Yes. Edit script opens the show notes again. Narration revisions reuse the footage and update the speech and captions.
